This product has excellent frag mitigation properties via the UHMWPE construction which tends to embed fragments rather than deflect them toward the wearer. Fragmentation is no where near the concern of shooting a steel plate without a mitigation coating.
These plates come with a 5 year warranty and a 5 year shelf life.
